Terry brings 24 years of commercial real estate experience to his clients, augmented by his insight gained through government service as a Planning Commissioner and Zoning Board of Appeals member. As a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Terry has developed the diversified skills and knowledge needed to deliver a wide range of services to international clients headquartered in Mexico, Germany, China and Switzerland. Terry has worked with the US Marshal Service, Oakwood Healthcare Systems, Penske Logistics, First Industrial Realty and Morgan-Stanley Development to complete local site selection, property sales and leasing assignments. Builders such as the DeMattia Group, Schonsheck, Inc. and Frankel Development have completed construction projects with Terry, ranging from 10,000 to 250,000 square feet for a variety of Financial, Industrial, Retail, Medical and Office clients.

Terry has also worked with local retail, office, medical and industrial clients on a variety of assignments. He has used S.B.A. financing, private equity and local banks to provide up to 90% loan to value for deals ranging from $500,000.00 to $10 million in total project costs.

These skills have made Terry a highly sought after resource in a market that takes imagination and skill to get deals done.

Two landmark deals in the Detroit Market:

First was a sale and re-purposing of a vacant 125,000 square foot furniture warehouse for a vocational training facility and headquarters for the Michigan Institute of Aeronautics and Technology, (M.I.A.T.). This $10 Million project involved S.B.A. participation with Comerica Bank resulting in 90% financing of the total project costs, including extensive renovation and equipment expenditures as well the purchase of adjacent vacant land for additional parking.

The second transaction involves a bank owned portfolio of three residential developments totaling 525 acres. Terry was able to identify a cash buyer, who was ready to close in 45 days, setting the stage for the quick resale and development of 172 acres for spring of 2012

Terry also completed these additional deals in 2011:

  • Patchen Elementary School- 43,000 square foot elementary school.
  • Palmer Crossing- 23,000 square foot four building retail center anchored by CVS.
  • Westgate Plaza- 24,000 square foot in-line retail center.
  • Plymouth Power Sports- 14,000 square foot single user retail building.
